I was looking at Samsung, but the volume was low and electrical cord fell short...This Sony has excellent sound and quality volume.. The picture is sharp and adjusting is easy.You will not be disappointed with this beautiful led.Very happy with purchase and price..............

Latest comment: Have owned this unit for over 2 years now and we are thrilled with the picture, sound and features.______________________________________________Old Comment: Received this LCD LED unit yesterday, 5 days after we ordered it from Tiger Direct through Amazon. Delivery was free and was surprisingly quick. According to its box it was shipped via air from Midway airport in Chicago to BWI Baltimore then picked up by a trucking company. It's working very well and the picture is outstanding. We also have a Sony Bravia KDL40W5100 LCD (1 year old) and have been extremely pleased with it. The new unit replaces the 5100 and the 5100 is replacing a 27" Sony WEGA CRT TV (Top of the line in 2000)in our finished basement. The 5100 originally replaced a 26 year old Sony. We're obviously big Sony fans and have never been disappointed. I understand that Samsung makes an excellent LCD TV as well.A VENDOR WARNING! Be careful who you order from when buying a TV. The lowest price vendor on the Amazon list may not be the best in overall service and delivery. Pay the extra $20 or $30 to avoid aggravation. Before you order a TV from J&R (lowest price) read the reviews of its customers for TVs. Despite a stated shipping date as the day the order is confirmed, it did not arrive for 2 weeks - on a Sunday. My calls were always met with the same reply, it's on its way. Also, they required that I call to confirm the order and then proceeded to push for an extended warranty. That process - e-mails and phone calls - took at least 2 days. Tiger Direct had my latest TV at Midway airport by that time. I believe the trucking company or J&R accumulates deliveries to our area (Maryland) and has them delivered via truck from N.Y. at one time. Just a guess.To be fair to J&R, all smaller items I've ordered from them arrived within a reasonable time and were the best prices.Order through Amazon as much as you can for convenience, prices and consumer protection. You know they will not list a business that will reflect negatively on their very successful business model and sterling reputation.

This TV has great picture and sound. I connected my bluray player, cable box, PC, game systems, and iPod easily. There is an initial setup when you turn the TV on for the first time that guides you though the process. One thing I don;t like is the "WiFi ready" feature. I need to purchase a Sony WiFi dongle (and no other wireless dongle is compatible). It does have an Ethernet cable port on the back, but the connection did not work when I connected it to a wireless router. SO, if I can find it since every website says it is out of stock, I will purchase the overpriced Sony dongle (although all WiFi ready TVs do this with their own brand of dongle). One good thing is it automatically detects the component once it is on and changes the source. I turned by bluray player on, and could watch movies right away. I turned the bluray off and the cable on and it switched right away so I could watch TV with changing the mode.
